About Me

Company Ethos

I’ve been a painter decorator for 13 years and I will always give any project I take on my full commitment. Lowering the environmental impact and carbon footprint of all aspects of my work is a top priority.

I pay attention to detail, prioritise quality over speed and am meticulously tidy.

Please take a look at my references on the Projects page.

Waste Management Principles

1) I always minimise waste and pollution.

2) I use of environmentally friendly materials where possible.

3) I recycle all recyclable materials.

4) Empty paint pots are left to dry before being recycled.

5) I work with clients to minimise use of materials where necessary. For example, kitchen cupboards can be cleaned and repainted rather than a whole kitchen refitted for a resale when the new owners may simply throw it out anyway.

Travel Policy

1) Tools and materials are delivered and collected by car at start and finish.

2) All subsequent site visits are done by bicycle or public transport.

Materials and Products

1) Water based paints

2) Environmentally friendly paints

3) Organic paints

4) Linseed oil paints

4) Oils

5) NO high VOC paints and varnishes will be used.

I am happy to discuss any questions or ideas you have regarding materials and products before committing to any project.

Tools and Techniques

1) All sanding is done with Festool Sanders connected to a Festool Dust Extractor creating minimal dust.

2) Sanding can be back to bare wood as long as there is no historic lead paint.

Stripping of paints is done using a Cobra Speedheater (Swedish equipment that is far gentler and safer than hot air guns)

Areas Covered

The areas I cover are dictated by my Travel Policy (see above).

1) Primarily within the Kessingland, Beccles, Southwold triangle.

2) Norwich

3) London. I know London well and providing the premises are empty and i am able to live on site I am happy to take on jobs here aswell.
