I’ve worked on all types of project, large and small, inside and out.
Here’s a few examples for you to look at.

Client Review
“Mark was professional and polite throughout this 2.5 months project. He is attentive to detail and will flag problems that are not part of his spec (eg leaking gutters during storms). He also made time and cost saving suggestions by demonstrating we could get away with one coat on the walls. His Festool equipment meant there was virtually no dust created when keying woodwork or sanding a dresser. Mark only works on one project at a time which means he is dedicated throughout a project. I would have no hesitation in recommending his services to anyone wanting a professional finish to their project” Elizabeth K.
Project description
Painting of all woodwork (including windows, doors and balustrade), walls and ceilings of a the former servant quarters of a Victorian hall. This included 4 bathrooms, 4 bedroom and 3 reception rooms. Most colours used were colour matched Farrow and Ball using Albany Paint which is Brewers own brand (very good paint, far better than dulux). The doors were “french grey” and the walls “off white” except in bathrooms. I was able to save costs with extra care painting walls and using just one coat. Doors were taken off their hinges to be repaired, keyed and painted, adding to a neat finish. A large Victorian dresser was also sanded and oiled using Osmo Clear Oil.

His attention to detail is second to none and his prices are extremely competitive. I wouldn’t hesitate in recommending him for any type of home improvement service’“. Mark S.

Project description
This restoration project was a delight to work on, as passers by stopped regularly to marvel at the transformation. It involved major masonry and woodwork repairs. Since the windows were being painted with linseed oil (Chatsworth Blue by Oricalcum), it could only be applied on bare wood, so all the windows were taken out to be stripped back to bare wood with the Infrared Paint remover (Speed Heater Cobra) and specific scraping tools. The pictures of before and after speak for themselves. One of my favourite projects to work on.

Project description
This project involved extensive restoration of the main house and barns. These pictures focus on the windows which were in a very poor condition. All the woodwork was extensively sanded with Festool equipment. Where needed, gaps and splits were filled. All the oak windows were then coated with Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain (Rosewood – 727).

“Mark has painted and decorated my home each time I move, inside and out, for many years now. His attention to detail and skills are second to none and he will always do the best possible job, without taking any shortcuts.
He is fully committed to using eco friendly and quality products; but also understands the need to work to a budget. He will always suggest different ways to approach a job and is extremely knowledgeable about the most appropriate product to use – or approach to take. An added bonus is he always leaves my home cleaner than it was when he arrived!
Mark is totally trustworthy and I honestly cannot recommend him highly enough.”. Suzanne J.

Client Review
“I found Mark to be honest, professional, hardworking and extremely considerate that he was working in someone else’s home. He went to great lengths to keep everywhere as neat and tidy as possible, covering all floor areas daily, and tidying away every evening. He is highly competent and his workmanship is excellent, and on a personal level, he was an absolute pleasure to be working alongside within the home. He took on a rather depressing project, but in a very few days he gave me back a lovely bright and light bungalow – I can’t thank him enough!”. Carolyn W.

Project description
This project involved a lot of masonry repairs. The doors had previously been painted without prior sanding. They had to be stripped to the bare wood before priming and painting again. The client was going to paint the brickwork yellow again but I suggested going for less standard colours. We used ‘blackened’ by Farrow and Ball for the brick work.
